The St Thomas Indian Orthodox Church Dublin, founded in 2006, is a Parish of the Indian (Malankara) Orthodox Church under the Diocese of UK Europe and Africa.
The Indian Orthodox Church has its headquarters in Kerala, India and is governed under the spiritual leadership of Malankara Metropolitan and Catholicos of the East HH Baselios Marthoma Mathews III and administered by the Diocesan Metropolitan HE Abraham Mar Stephanos. The Parish administration is carried out under the leadership of the Parish Vicar appointed by the Diocesan Metropolitan along with the duly elected Lay Steward, Secretary and the Managing Committee members elected each year by the Parish General body held according to the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church constitution.
The Parish is a registered charity (CRA) in the Republic of Ireland having the registration number CHY17764, as well as a registered entity with the CRO (Companies Registration Office) with registration number 421496. The registered office and the correspondence address of the Parish is – St. Thomas Indian Orthodox Church, Malankara House, Old Lucan Road, Palmerstown, Dublin 20, D20 VP97.
The Parish is an active member of the Irish Council of Churches (ICC) as well as the Dublin Council of Churches (DCC).
