Orthodox Christian Youth Movement (OCYM)
Orthodox Christian Youth Movement is the community of young people in our parish. The youth group organizes prayer meetings on every second Sunday of the month for the spiritual enhancement of the church youth. The activities are Bible studies, helping the church committee for implementing decisions of the General Body, House visits, Hospital visits, ‘Divya Bothanam’ training, and Charity work. The youth group also takes leadership in conducting Christmas carols and Christmas fests.
Our Objectives
1. Promote the motto of the Youth Movement namely Worship, Study, and Service, to attain Christian virtues that enable youths to lead a Christian life.
2. Discuss the issues that the younger generation faces in day-to-day life and find ways to strengthen through spiritual development.
3. Educate us about our faith, traditions, and history through questions/answers, and discussions.
5. Disseminate information about the activities with a focus on faith, charity, and missionary work.
6. Develop familiarity and friendship with fellow member and their ideas.
We welcome all active members of the Church in the age group between 18 to 45, to participate in the OCYM activities.
